Lab Chemist - Qa/Qc And R&D (Oilfield Speciality Chemicals/Construction Chemicals)
Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Technical Support:• Conduct quality control tests on raw materials, finished products, and supporting materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality.• Oversee QA/QC processes with meticulous record-keeping and documentation, maintaining high standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.• Perform laboratory tasks necessary for formula testing, including performance assessment, stability testing, and verification of product claims to ensure reliability.• Develop and evaluate mud systems, optimizing formulations and testing procedures to enhance product performance.• Provide technical support and expertise to production teams, customers, and sales, resolving product-related issues efficiently.• Deliver training on new procedures, equipment, and safety protocols to ensure team proficiency and regulatory compliance.• Maintain organized records of product complaints, resolutions, and preventive actions, contributing to quality assurance and customer satisfaction.Laboratory Equipment and Inventory Management Duties:• Track equipment calibration and repair schedules to ensure proper maintenance.• Regularly update the inventory of testing equipment in the database.• Manage SAP for chemical inventory tracking, quality control data, and compliance reports.• Maintain a sufficient inventory of replacement parts and supplies for both test equipment and chemicals.Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management Responsibilities:• Keep MSDS information current and organized in the database.• Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry standards to ensure compliance.• Monitor and enforce all HSE procedures to guarantee lab compliance.• Prepare risk assessments (RA) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all equipment, submitting them to the HSE officer for approval.
