Responsible for basic CAD and BIM designs as directed by the Engineer.Responsible for all drafting for a particular discipline on a project.Creation and editing of drawings & sketches in compliance with WSP ME CAD Standards and detailing practices.Supervise, coordinate and support CAD Technicians workload, good detailing practice and work procedures.Liaise with the CAD Manager and lead Engineer on resource requirements and work distribution within the CAD team.Liaise with the CAD Manager on Drawing / CAD Standard review and improvements.Review and monitor the production of drawings to maintain quality and accuracy.Support the development of the technical capabilities of the CAD team.Completion of CAD tasks received from Engineers and CAD Manager.Find solutions to ACAD problems / bugs and rectify.Generate sections / schedules / schematics from general arrangement drawings.Ensure drawings are issued, and filed in an appropriate manner.Responsible for setting up of a project, including drawing registers.Coordinate and support the Complementary Resource Centres (CRCs) CAD team.Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.Develop expertise and stay abreast of developments in relevant technical field.Attend team and project meetings. Cascade information to the team as required.Support the companies approach to sustainability.Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP ME service to clients.Feedback on all business development opportunities.

Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. Review drawings to ensure compliance with design standards.

Assist the design team with draughting capability in order to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.Draughting new designs and preparation of As Built drawing .Drawing preparation and detailing .Using own initiative and helping to co-ordinate work .Helping achieve compliance with internal and external quality systems .
