Recovery Support Group Facilitator
CurrentInstruct and Direct peers on our daily Agenda, while applying the Group Guidelines and the "Principles of Support", I Monitored & Guided each one as they open up with an Introduction and brief description of what they are going through NOW,in the present, and to be mindful of respecting, without judging each-other, and to consider Time Management( unless - there is a crisis or what is called:Hot Potato) and then and only then - We bring Our attention back to the crisis issue, but only after everyone has opened with an Introduction. Finding Solutions and Alternatives for different situations, when dealing with Our Behavior(Mental Issues) is My priority. Bringing the group together, sharing & exploring our Experience with a common Problem. It's about utilizing Group Wisdom. Understanding how to use Our Experience & Our Chart: Stages of Emotional Response To Trauma, is the key that unlocks answers to certain questions. We have accepted that we are here to help each-other and learn how to manage our life-style and maintain a level of Wellness. And while I Volunteer at N.A.M.I as a Facilitator; I am still Interested in obtaining a Part-Time ( PAID )Position as a Behavior Therapist, Addictions(Recovery) Consultant in Substance Abuse, a Drug Education Mentor & Guide, or as a Facilitator in Principles of Addiction and Recovery techniques & Wisdom.
