I started my journey with ION as a developer in 2010, and it took me through a path of Senior Developer to Solution Engineer to Engineering Manager and now an Engineering Director.Primary tech stack: Java, Angular, Ansible, MySQL, Linux, AWS, ELK, JMeterRight now it is a technical leadership role, where the KRAs are a mix of product development, technical architecture, building teams and managing people.I still take care of "Treasury Anywhere" as Engineering Manager and backend technical architect.Additionally, responsible for partially managing and growing local teams for multiple products. And managing multiple cross team initiatives.

Started multi-tenant SaaS mobile-first product "Treasury Anywhere", mostly writing backend for when we were just starting. As of today there are millions of dollars worth of instructions being processed through it.I was the key contributor to initial multi-tenant backend code, multi-threaded workflow engines, moving from single linux machine hosted deployments to continuous multi-node cloud deployments.At present I own almost all areas of product with Business owner - backend architecture, technical backlog, delivery, cloud deployments, performance testing, production monitoring, client implementations and client support. Pretty much like a small startup within a big company.

Frankfurt Am Main Area, Germany

Moved to ION's Frankfurt office, and worked closely with quants in both Frankfurt and Berlin office in there on intricacies of same fixed income pricing engine. Did CFA level 1 to grasp the concepts of finance a little better.I helped with understanding the details of and implementing complex yield calculation algorithms, optimizing and scaling static data streaming from multiple market sources, writing multi threaded atomic task execution engine, being technical SME to quants doing their java library code reviews and writing frameworks to generate java tests using reflection.

Played a central role in design and development of fixed income security pricing related components. This was a re-engineered Bond Pricer in a new plugin based architecture.Scalability of the key components to ensure high availability to cater to Emerging Market support - smoothening transition of trading hours between banks' Rates and Credit desks in North America, EMEA and APAC.Established tools and processes for test automation from scratch to cover integration, regression and performance tests for the old and new solution - using TeamCity, Jenkins and ROBOT et cetera.
