Born in Jamshedpur, India, in 1953, Mr. Agarwalla entered the family business at 17, even before completing his Business Administration degree in 1974. His early work involved delivering hardware items on a bicycle. In 1976, he launched a small construction business, successfully completing three government projects by 1980, including a market complex under the World Bank Scheme.In 1982, Mr. Agarwalla, along with his brother established two manufacturing units: Cal DC (SMPS manufacturing) and CTC (India) Pvt. Ltd. (high precision PCB tools). Despite the challenges of importing materials, the liberalization measures in 1991 helped streamline their operations. While Cal DC closed in 1998, CTC thrived, expanding its production from 10,000 to 20 million cutting tools annually, serving industries like aerospace, watchmaking, and automotive, with a significant global market reach.In 2010, CTC acquired Kemmer Prazision GmbH, Europe's largest PCB cutting tools manufacturer. This acquisition strengthened CTC's global presence, with operations in 21 countries.CTC's commitment to innovation is evident in its continuous investments in new equipment, processes, and personnel training. The company constantly seeks new products and markets to sustain its growth.Mr. Agarwalla's passion for construction led him to undertake large-scale real estate projects in eastern India. In 2021, he started CTC Praezision Tools focusing on electronic tooling and industrial cutting tools for various sectors, including electronics, aerospace, and heavy industries.Maintaining a connection to his roots, he ensures the family trading business thrives, expanding into pipe trading and setting up a tube mill as part of a backward integration project.With over five decades of dynamic leadership, Mr. Agarwalla continues to steer his ventures towards success and innovation inspiring hundreds of young leaders.
