• Responsible for coordinating with project managers and site superintendents, ensuring all the important documents and shop drawings are approved and circulated on time to enable the site to progress without delays.• Managing and monitoring the progress of work to ensure that the site gets all the bar lists and shop drawings on time avoiding any delays due to fabrication lead time and logistics.• Responsible for liaising with the clients to resolve a wide variety of technical site issues in a timely and cost-effective manner. Use of effective interpersonal skills to maintain harmonious relationships.• Responsible for investigating placing issues, and providing the best response using analytical and technical skills. Responsibilities include checking shop drawings by interpreting structural and architectural drawings. • Preparation of 3D reinforcement models and highly coordinated 2D RC detail drawings in compliance with BS Standards for various structural elements • The bar bending schedule preparation from 3D reinforcement models to suit site requirements and facilitate the smooth fabrication of reinforcing steel bars along with procurement. • Independent preparation of 2D shop drawings and bar bending schedule (BBS) in accordance with BS 8666-2000/2005, BS 4449, BS 4466-1989, structural layout, column and beam schedules and sectional details from Structural, Builders Work and Architectural Drawings. • Supervise technical staff in preparation of shop drawings and bar bending Schedule. • Coordinate with rebar fixing foreman, project engineers and construction manager for troubleshooting and resolving the site issues. • Communicate with clients, consultants, approving agencies, etc. for purposes of obtaining design information, presenting design alternatives, and expediting approvals. • Maintain the Log of shop drawing submissions.• Create RFIs to solve technical queries and attend site coordination meetings.
