Profile bio

About Ramesh Kumar, Phd

Currently, I am working as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Uppsala University in the Boschloo-Johansson group. My research focuses on elucidating the electronic-ionic kinetics/device physics and charge transport properties of emerging mixed semiconducting materials for optoelectronics/photovoltaics and smart electrochemical electronic devices. I use small perturbation frequency/time domain electrical techniques to rapidly access and decouple the various dynamics occurring on different time scales in mixed electronic-ionic semiconductors.I have been honored with the Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship (2024-2027) from the AvH Foundation. This grant will allow me to integrate optical and electrical spectroscopic techniques with drift-diffusion simulation to study electronic-ionic dynamics at the perovskite/electrolyte interface in operando.I am also the recipient of the Swedish Postdoctoral Fellowship (2023-2025) from Olle Engkvist Foundation, Sweden, for conducting my postdoctoral research at Uppsala University, Sweden, and the Commonwealth Scholarship (2021-2022) from the British Government for a one-year research project in the UK during my PhD.
