Worked at various levels in Indian Statistical Service in the official hierarchy and ultimately retired as Director (ISS), Govt. of India, Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment Shimla.Worked in various schemes of office like Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers-CPI(IW), Agricultural Labourers, Rural Labourers, Training and Labour Statistics.Post retirement worked as Senior Consultant in the scheme Working Class Family Income and Expenditure Survey throughout the country in order to update the base of CPI(IW).
