I have spent over 31 years representing industry and select insurance clients in human resource matters from counseling to litigation. I also devote a significant amount of time representing self insured employers and workers'compensation carriers in workers' compensation litigation.I practice in Virginia and Tennessee.I have been included in Best Lawyers in America every year since 2005 and in Virginia Super Lawyers every year since 2008. I was named Lawyer of the Year in the Tri-Cities region in my field of practice by Best Lawyers in America for 2014. In June of 2022 I was recognized as one of a select few as a “Go to” attorney in the field of employment law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.I am a founding member of the Virginia Workers' Compensation Inns of Court.I served three terms as Chair of the Workers' Compensation section of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and one term as Chair of its Employment Law section.I am on the Legislative Committee of the Virginia Self-Insurer's Association as currently serve as it’s General Counsel.My goal is and always has been excellence in representation.
