AI/Machine Learning approach to Computer Vision (CV) in the domains of Heath care and AgriTech

1. Research work in the dual domain of Low Altitude Remote Sensing (LARS) using drones and AI, which are a sunrise area of research.2. Leveraged the vantage point of the confluence of LARS and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create novel research outcomes that demonstrated their potential across a multitude of application areas.3. An impressive publication record of more than 15 publications in the course of the Ph.D.4. Research publications well cited – 141 citations in Google Scholar.5. The combination of business expertise, industry expertise and research experience helped in submitting compelling research grant proposals. A 100% strike rate on research proposals. Was instrumental in securing six research grants with a cumulative grant value of INR 344 lakhs.

While was pursuing my Masters program, had the opportunity to work with Dr S.N.Omkar atComputational Intelligence lab and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle lab, Aerospace department, IISc Bangalore. Our work included remote sensing from an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Vision spectrum (RGB) images were acquired using remote sensing. Knowledge/feature extraction was carried out on the images using Machine learning, both supervised and unsupervised. This was followed by spatial analysis such as Mathematical morphology and geometric shape analysis. These algorithms were applied in aerial robotic applications such as detection of power lines in UAV images, detection of tomato fruits in Aerial images and tree crown extraction .

Provided technology and business leadership in delivering offshore business to seven telecom accounts spanning North America and Europe. Met/exceeded KPIs of revenue, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and Product quality.

Successfully led a team that provided Product ownership of a telecom product for a US & Canada based telecom company.

Engineering project manager for three telecom products. (a)A high speed trunking peripheral. (b) A call server for inter working of legacy calls with Voice over IP (VoIP) calls. (c) GSM Base station Controller
