Promotion, development and creating Electronic Sports and Digital Entertainment experiences in Sri Lanka and the South Asia region

Elected the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Esports Association at its AGM in 2021. The Sri Lanka Esports Association is the official body that represents Esports in Sri Lanka and is recognised by the Ministry of Sports. Esports being a national sport, the Association provides the structure and governance for Esports in the country. The Sri Lanka Esports Association is now a benchmark in Esports governance in South Asia.

Esports related event organisation and strategic planning for promoting e-Sports as an official sport in Sri Lanka.

Handled the setting up of the network at LAN events (100-150 PCs) from scratch, troubleshooting and managing the network and infrastructure. Handled tournament decisions regarding administration matters - rule compliance, scheduling, etc as needed. Handled the broadcasting (basic livestreams and onscreen display at the time).

Was responsible for the integrity of matches and tournaments organised by Gamer.LK, especially in games like Counter Strike 1.6, Dota 2. This included compiling rules following international tournaments and standards and also responding rapidly to any hardware or software issues, moderating player questions and complaints, and ensuring compliance to the Tournament Rules.

Responsible for the designing and developing of websites and web solutions using various technologies such as PHP, HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap, etc. Build and deploy servers (both virtual and dedicated) and managing client deployments for the company as and when required. A part of the development team that handles software system solutions such as custom POS systems, etc. Responsible for graphic designing on any projects for the company.

Responsible for the entire operations of GameLadders.LK, Sri Lanka’s Largest and Oldest Game/Voice Server Provider. Deployed and managed the dedicated servers hosted at SLT iDC, which were on Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, etc). Successfully hosted all the Game and Voice Servers hosted in Sri Lanka entirely.
