Ramesh Ramadoss is an entrepreneur, technology leader, researcher, author, and international speaker. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA. Currently, he is working on a startup at the intersection of AI and blockchain. He has about 5 years of academic research experience, during which he conducted projects for DARPA, NASA, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, Sandia National Labs, and Motorola Labs. Also, he has over 15 years of industry experience in Silicon Valley, holding senior roles, such as senior manager and director, at companies like FormFactor Inc., Microprobe Inc., and Applied Nanostructures Inc. He has written the foreword for two books in the blockchain field. He has delivered talks at over 200 international conferences across 70 countries.He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is the Co-Founder and current Chair of the IEEE Blockchain Technical Community, where he spearheaded the launch of eighty (80) IEEE Blockchain Local Groups worldwide. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Standards Association.In 2019, he served as a convener at the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA). In 2020, he co-founded the InterWork Alliance (IWA), now part of the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC). Between 2021 and 2024, he served as an Expert Panel Member of the European Union Blockchain Observatory and Forum (EUBOF).In 2013, he founded the IEEE San Francisco Bay MEMS & Sensors Chapter and served as its Chair (2014-2015). In 2016 and 2017, he served as the Vice-Chair and Chair, respectively, of the IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section, based in Silicon Valley. He worked with the IEEE History Committee to unveil IEEE Milestones (bronze plaques) at the former Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory, commemorating the birthplace of Silicon Valley and Moore’s Law.
