Hi, I'm Ramesh, the co-founder, director, and CTO of Fcode Labs, a software engineering company that is on a mission to transform the world with digital solutions.My journey with technology began when I was 13 years old and wrote my first program using CMD. It was a simple script, but it sparked my curiosity and passion for coding. Since then, I have never stopped learning and creating software projects that solve real-world problems and improve people's lives. I even won the first place in the national inventors' competition organized by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission when I was 18 years old. That was one of the proudest moments of my life.I have a degree in engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, where I co-founded the entrepreneurship club and learned a lot about entrepreneurship and business from great business minds in Sri Lanka. The university was also there that I met two of my best friends who shared my vision and enthusiasm for technology and innovation. We became close friends, but we did not start any business together at that time. It was only after we graduated that we decided to start our own company that would use our skills and expertise to make a positive impact on the world. Co-Founder | Pcb Designer | ResearcherAce Of Modern Electronics Jan 2015 - Nov 2017Piliyandala, Western, LkCo-Founded this electronics company that developed and manufactured IR sensor panels and PIC development kits. The IR sensor panel was designed to be a navigation sensor panel for line-following robots. I designed sensor panels to offer a quicker reading rate while still being energy efficient. I have created a C++ library to control this sensor panel, which may be used to write Arduino applications. This panel was sold on eBay.The PIC development kit was inspired by the Arduino board but was created for PIC microcontrollers. We designed these boards with the user-friendliness of Arduino and Raspberry PI in mind. Plenty of tests were performed to confirm circuit pathways and defects. Users may not always handle the development boards appropriately, which might result in short-circuiting. This development board was designed in such a manner that it would not burn in such circumstances.Furthermore, utilizing the information we gained while constructing these electronics products, we were able to mentor a large number of students in universities and schools in electronics and robotics. It was a fantastic opportunity and a pleasure to share our knowledge with youngsters. Most of them finally finish at prestigious institutions and eventually contribute to society as industry experts. -

The goal of this society is to build a secure future for young entrepreneurs in the University.I was a founding member when it was formed in 2016. Since then, I was working hard to make society popular among the students and also the industry. We organize lots of sessions by leading figures in the industry to share their experience with the members of the society. Those sessions were beneficial for our young entrepreneurs to build and expand their businesses and to gain investments.We introduced Mora Ventures, a pitching competition that allows young entrepreneurs to gain knowledge that they will need as an entrepreneur and find investors to invest in their businesses. Mora Ventures is the main event organized by the Entrepreneurship society that lasts for around 4-5 months. This event is held yearly. Research OfficerSingapore University Of Technology And Design (Sutd) Aug 2016 - Dec 2016Singapore, SgI worked as a Machine Learning research officer at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore, for my internship under Prof. Lu Wei from the Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD) department.While researching the StatNLP team, I gained the following experience:• Research on image captioning via deep learning• Research on meaning representations of sentences (Mainly AMR)• Use deep learning techniques for document classification (Tensorflow)• Implement document classifier via word clustering (brown clustering)According to CSRankings, the StatNLP group is ranked 1st in Asia and 8th in the World on NLP (with a score of 4.3)It was a massive opportunity for me to working in such a high-ranking team with brilliant people. Working at this university internship was the first time I was working on a long-time research project. Experience gained from this helped me while performing as a Machine Learning Engineer at Zone24x7. Most of the libraries and algorithms that I developed and contributed are still used in that team. It is something that I can be proud of now and in the future.In addition to the research experience, I gained lots of knowledge on the machine learning toolkits used in the industry and the research community. This was the first time that Tensorflow was introduced to me. I can remember its version was 0.9, which was a beta release. Tensorflow was the first deep-learning toolkit that a big company released. Many other packages are also developed for the machine learning community by the community or high-ranking universities that consist of popular neural networks and machine learning algorithms. Visiting InstructorUniversity Of Moratuwa Jan 2016 - May 2016Moratuwa, Western, LkSometimes students at the University of Moratuwa get the opportunity to work as an instructor for a short period in a module with lots of content with practicals. I was selected to work as a visiting instructor in the Electronics and Telecommunication Department at the University for the EN2532 module. This is a robotics module with five major practicals that each practical test has to be carried out for all the students enrolled in this module. I was doing this work for about five months at the University.During that time, I conducted lab practicals and summarized the theory behind each practical, marked assignments, and the answers to the in-class quizzes. Performing these practical experiments has to be aligned with the theoretical knowledge that they gain from the class. The practicals were designed to do at the end of each month to summarize most of the course's content.Quizzes and assignments created by the professor who is doing the classes are distributed for students to test their knowledge at the start of next month after the practical. These tests include questions to assess the knowledge gained by the students in practicals and classes. Conducting and marking these tests were also a significant part of this engagement with the University.My knowledge of Robotics and C++ was beneficial while doing this task. I learned to work with students, manage them and teach them. This was a rare and wonderful experience to have in the University.
