Consumer oriented SPAC that acquired baby products company Owlet (NYSE: OWLT) in a successful de-SPAC transaction.

Primary focus was to drive the brand investment initiatives of Gordon Brothers Group, the global restructuring firm based in Boston. Toubassy oversaw Gordon Brothers' existing consumer brands portfolio including acting as the CEO of the Laura Ashley and Wet Seal lifestyle brands and pursuing brand investment opportunities on a global basis. Toubassy and the Brands team also sources and closed lending opportunities where the brand and other intellectual property was the primary collateral including loans to Brooks Brothers, Rockport, Jonathan Adler and the Apex family of brands. Finally the team supported the valuation practice within Gordon Brothers with market perspective and licensing expertise.

Was responsible for all facets of operating a 50 person licensing and branding firm based in Los Angeles. Over the course of 10+ years revenue was grown 7x and the business diversified its offerings into branding, design, marketing partnerships and experiential in addition to its traditional licensing agency services. Over my tenure the company worked with a diverse set of clients including: Armor All, Britney Spears, Hamilton Beach, Kingsford, Marriott, Mad Men, Halle Berry, Nordstrom, Quiksilver, Ron Herman, Syfy Channel, and dozens more. The company also owned several brands including Shabby Chic (www.shabbychic.com) and the M.Nii luxury surf brand (www.mnii.com).

Acting as the CEO of BSP portfolio company Shabby Chic Brands which BSP acquired out of bankruptcy in September 2009.

Hired by Indian Motorcycle's private equity backers to managed different parts of the business on a rotating basis. Initially managed the Service Parts business and then moved on to the Licensing & Business Development area in order to extend the brand and create non-core revenue streams.

Responsible for working with large Corporations to develop new technology business based on spun-out corporate assets. Managed client aquisition, investments decisions and portfolio business building.
