Radio Systems Manager
Current• Define and manage all needed processes and resources in deployment/Radio division and understand the needs of internal customers (other FT departments) to achieve the set targets.• Plan, design, operate, maintain and evaluate all wireless telecommunication systems and other network systems.• Discover, identify and solve problems that develop in wireless systems.• Manage the vendors & the subcontractors as appropriate. • Supervise, direct and control team members, vendors & subcontractors on all activities carried out to ensure proper effective functionality of all network elements.• Communicate effectively with management, staff members, service providers, contractors and others in the field.• Research and identify telecommunications opportunities that impact business strategy and resource planning. Conduct extensive evaluations of vendor solutions and prepare summaries for management.• Maintain integrity of wireless systems and network hardware/elements including cabling and power to insure a continuous, smooth and seamless operating environment.• Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and continue to meet the needs of customers. Provide subject matter expertise support and resolution for customer issues.• Determine the production capacity needed to meet changing business demands. Ensure\ capacity planning deliverables are performed to specifications.• Independently perform assignments with instructions focusing on the expected results. Determine and develop approach to solutions. Receive technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.• May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees’ professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and less experienced team members.
