The program worked to strengthen the capacity of strategically identified Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and youth groups to both identify and respond to local drivers of instability and violence in the North and Bekaa regions. Throughout the program, youth groups worked collaboratively with CSO partners and conducted civic engagement activities that targeted the identified drivers. The CSOs received training s on how to identify gaps in linkages and communication between local communities, CSOs, and municipal governments. Subsequently, the project connected these groups by creating standing coalitions comprised of youth, CSO leaders, and municipal officials. Each coalition designed and executed an action plan that directly addressed the identified drivers of instability and to create safer communities. -
