Special Bridges and Structures

• Assisted the Developments team with ongoing projects including interior fit-out of Expo Hospitality Tower, handover of Rove La Mer Hotel and pre-opening of Rove City Walk Hotel.• Was responsible for the daily checkups on the project sites and working with consultants to produce snagging lists. Maintained communication with consultants and contractors to ensure the work is done in a timely fashion with high quality and to address any urgent concerns. • Was assigned as a project manager on a small project in Dubai Mall Fountain Views Link Bridge. The project was to deliver new offices to the Developments team. • Worked with a team of interns to present Emaar’s business leaders and CEO with new ideas to generate footfall to Dubai Mall and other Emaar Malls.• Awarded for outstanding performance in the internship.

- Managed the ASCE Student Chapter at AUS as the Chapter Vice President- Developed new ideas to host events virtually to ensure maximum student participation- Tasked with planning and executing virtual workshops, presentations, and trips for the students- Organized the first virtual ASCE competition in the region for all universities in UAE- Ensured proper communication between the team and assigned responsibilities to the other chapter board members alongside the chapter's president- Coordinated events with the Civil Engineering department and other university officials- Organized and invited industry professionals to give talks and presentations for the students- Organized first ever ASCE board members volunteering event

• Observed the fieldwork necessary to gather data on the scene of an engineering failure/accident.• Produced a complete forensic report on a case related to a construction catastrophe caused by Post-Tension slab failure. Produced a finite element model of the slab to detect source of failure.• Assisted the forensics officers and other interns in the lab work to test materials and objects obtained from the field such as rebars and wood planks.

• Conducted research about the use of Fiber Reinforced Polymer bars as reinforcement in concrete deep beams without stirrups or other web reinforcements. • Focused on producing a literature review on the topic.

• Assisted the Transportation Planning team with their work on producing a handbook about guidelines on road design.• Diagnosed a failing signalized intersection and provided solutions to resolve the issues by implementing the use of software such as Synchro and Sidra. Reported findings to the department in the form of a PowerPoint presentation.• Studied the process of producing a Transportation Impact Study (TIS) report.

• Assessed and investigated the usage of Biochar as a means of producing sustainable concrete.• Produced an experimental concrete mix design using Biochar.
