As part of WA's COVID-19 economic recovery, the State Government established a stimulus package to deliver works in both metropolitan and regional areas. I was responsible for the facilitation, management, reporting and delivery of both capital projects and the program of upgrade works for the Northern region.

Pilbara & Kimberley, Western Australia

I undertook multiple acting opportunities during this period, managing and leading a team of 6 full time employees that deliver works for the Department in both the Pilbara and Kimberley region. This includes the oversight and management of capital works projects, policy implantation, crisis and incident management (including cyclones, major weather events and critical incidents), planned maintenance and programs, major breakdowns and routine maintenance.

Managing 136 schools to provide strategic asset management advice and consultation to Department of Education. This includes providing advice to clients on assets management, maintenance solutions that ensures economical life cycle costs on each of the schools. I develop and manage maintenance programs and assist the client achieve Treasury’s Strategic Asset Management Framework.

Managing 30 major projects at any one time, I provide end to end delivery of medium and high risk projects across a range of client agencies. This includes the coordination and management of highly sensitive projects and delivery of programs of work.

Management of client funds and programs of works for the Department of Education including individual projects valued up to $1.6m. The role involved the management of a service provider to achieve project deliverables and reporting to senior management (including Ministers) on the service provide KPI’s. I was also the communication point for approximately 225 schools.
