I am responsible for the system design, implementation and upkeep of Business Intelligence systems (Cognos and Power BI). I worked on transitioning customers to the latest Cognos 11. I led the Climate Scan Cognos dashboard project, which was developed for the entire Department of Defence down to the branch heads. A high profile project, which was successfully delivered and well received by the senior executives. The Chief of Defence congratulated our team for their achievement.I developed ETL processes, test scripts, semantic layer and reports on Data Vault/Kimball modelled data warehouse.I worked on requirement gathering, documenting, scoping and ETL for a suite of reports on Pay including salaries, allowances and bonuses from capacity building and costing perspectives. I successfully led the upgrade and transition of the HR reporting dashboard to Cognos 10.2 and redirected the source data from disparate sources to the data warehouse, while taking advantage of the new dashboarding capabilities in Cognos 10.2. I led and completed ETL and report development for payroll using IBM DataStage and Cognos.I wrote Cognos training manual using HR data, which is rolled out for all internal training sessions.

I developed data marts for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). It consisted of Disability Claims, Support Service, Access Request, and Funded Support. As well as development work, I trained team members on Data warehousing.

At Westfield I was responsible to incorporate parts of the US Lease related data into the Westfield corporate Data warehouse.

I was responsible to design and develop extensions to the Data Warehouse (DW) using client data. The BHPB (CSC’s major client) project consisted of 4 modules in the areas of Proposal Management, Service Level Performance, Incident Management and Active Directory User Administration. I reviewed and provided feedback on the Data Warehouse solution built for the CSC Finance Department as part of their Corporate Performance Management project. I was also responsible to liaise with the Business and generate/monitor the data flows and transformation from SAP to DW to Cognos Enterprise Planning, the Reporting Layer and SAP.

I worked at Focus Strategies and Solutions as a Senior BI Consultant on projects requiring data warehouse design and reporting.

As a senior consultant I helped clients such as Department of Defence, Reckitt Benckiser, Virgin Mobile and BlueScope Steel achieve better reporting and analysis of their data.

I worked in the Business and Government division looking after the BI administration and developments. I designed, built and implemented reports/cubes sourced from many Enterprise Resource Planning applications (Genesys, Siebel, TotalView and some legacy systems). I managed and carried out the Business reporting requirements, data investigation, development, pre and production testing.

I worked at the Cognos Asia Pacific Support Desk servicing Cognos customers in Australia and South East Asia. I supported the Australian and the Asia-pacific Alliance (and other) customers on all Cognos BI Products such as PowerPlay, Impromptu and Visualizer in both client/server and web environments. I also trained and mentored new starters in the team.
