Solar Technician IIPOSITION CONCEPTThe Solar Technician II position is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining all utility scale solar plant systems. In addition, the Solar Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting and operational support with regards to all utility scale solar plant related problems. This position is also responsible for maintenance of the utility scale solar plant inverters, tracking systems and arrays.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWithin the limits of authorized objectives, policies, procedures, plans, schedules and budgets, this position has the responsibility and commensurate authority for the:• Maintenance and modification of utility scale solar plant Inverters.• Maintenance and modification of utility scale solar plant tracking systems.• Maintenance and modification of utility scale solar plant arrays including modules.• Responsible for all plant process instrumentation.• Responsible for maintenance of plant RTU interfaces.• Support capital projects from a solar technician role.• Support IT Security with NERC/CIP compliance.• All other duties as assigned

Troubleshoot / repair various Motor Controls, and SCADA Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) at Pump Stations. Reports SCADA alarm findings and requests repairs on wastewater submersible pumps . Assists in and/or completes installation, maintenance, or repair of Industrial Electrical Systems rated up to 600 volts or more depending on functional working level.Recommends electrical system requirements for facilities and conducts technical inspections on new installations of electrical systems,modifications of existing equipment, motors, and related electrically operated apparatus. Determines routing, location and method of installing industrial wiring, conduit, equipment, fixtures, and accessories from complex industrial drawings, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, blueprints, and sketches.Tests, calibrates, and programs breaker trip settings and functions. Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots operations of PLC systems.Performs scheduled inspections and reviews of all electrical panels, performs proper preventativemaintenance on all associated electrical equipment, and upgrades electrical equipment.Identifies and documents all electrical enclosures and equipment within facilities and maintainsaccurate labeling in all panels, motor control centers (MCC’s), junction boxes, and switch gear.Ensures electrical safety of all associates and that equipment is in proper working order.Installs proper safety signage and locks on or near all electrical equipment that is not in workingorder.Prepares work schedules and coordinates maintenance schedules with integrated teams as well as prepare technical reports of electrical operational issues.Performs the calculations involved in the operation of sizing Industrial Electrical Services,Transformers, UPS Units, Panels, Breakers, Box and Conduit Fill and Wire Sizes.

Performs preventive,predictive maintenance, on all industrial equipment associated with the manufacturing of airfoils,veins and blades for Siemen’s power generation turbines. Inputs all PMs and repairs into a CMMS.Troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment in the production of superalloy airfoils(blades & vanes)for power generating Siemen’s turbine engines. MPI wax presses, Tekno Automated Gantry system, Fanuc Robots, positive displacement pumps(reciprocating pumps),centrifugal pumps.LBBC Boiler Claves,Slurry tanks, Hodge Core-leaching Autoclaves ,Acid Fume Scrubbers,RETECH VIM Furnaces, IPSEN Vacuum Furnaces, Everett Automated Dry Abrasive Saws, Industrial Sandblasters, JPW Industrial Ovens & Furnaces, Munters Desiccant Dehumidifiers, , VFDs. Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic electrical(AC/DC control)systems and PLCs. Perform full equipment setup, from blueprint layout to actually setting the equipment in place to running all utilities to equipment.

Maintenance Tech with a Electrical License working in the HVAC Department. Maintaining the Kitchen/Food Court equipment as my primary task. Operating HVAC Controls and Building Automation. I also fix small plumbing issues that will arise in kitchen/food court area. I also help in the replacement of motors ,and bearings in our air handlers making sure the VFDs are efficiently working properly.
