About Christian Ramirez

Having grown up in Florida with frequent visits to Kennedy Space Center, I grew up with the itch for contributing to both human spaceflight and the exploration of space from a very early age. Those visits to KSC were my father's own childhood dream since he watched the Apollo 11 lunar landing on live TV as a child on a farm in Colombia and was left fascinated with the incredible feat of human. That curiosity that was sparked and passed down led me down the engineering path ultimately to working on the cutting edge of human spaceflight for the 21st century. I count myself as incredibly lucky to have my career ultimately align with that childhood passion. As a manager, mentor, engineer and spacecraft operator I understand the importance of strong talent, empowering your team and clear two-way communication for a healthy and sustainable workplace filled with individuals motivated to challenge the norm and partake in writing history for a new era of spaceflight. When I'm not commanding vehicles in space or training the next generation of mission control operators, I'm traveling to another national park for a backcountry trip with camera in hand, day hiking in southern California or planning my next international trip.

Listed skills include Engineering, Integration, Systems Engineering, Testing, and 6 others.
