I was promoted to the Executive Team Leader position for the Service and Engagement Department. My specific store had about 120 employees and I led a team of about 45 to 60 guest advocates. I also had the opportunity to be the point of contact for my store which meant I oversaw every employee and was in charge of the store. I would teach and train my employees that we advocate a welcoming and frictionless shopping experience for our guests by modeling those behaviors. I made schedules that aligned with the business needs and anticipated hiring needs to plan and recruit for our peak holidays. Every day consisted of me pulling data to problem-solve how our customer experience could be better. I also worked with my peers to develop, teach, and train our employees to grow within the company.

I was promoted to a Style Team Leader for the retail store Target where I led a team that consisted of about 10 style consultants. Together we gave our guests a memorable and easygoing experience.Some of my tasks consisted of keeping our style area up to date. For example, during winter season making sure we had all our sweaters and coats out. During summer season maintaining our swim area full for summer vacation. Part of keeping our style area up to date also meant making sure we had product availability. I had to make sure I had every size and style out on the floor so that every guest could shop with ease knowing we had what they were looking for. I also strived to help my team grow and eventually help them get promoted. As a Team Leader, I applied all the skills I learned during my internship there. My main goal was to give our guests a positive experience while they shopped and help my team strive for success to help them grow as leaders.
