Online Sales ManagerNalbandian Llc. Dec 2017 - Oct 2021When I joined the team at Nalbandian, the company had no online presence, which was the primary reason for my recruitment. The Nalbandian team had been successfully conducting business since the 80s by selling B2B, but they sensed that they were losing out on online marketplaces. My initial task was to shoot all 3500+ unique rugs, which were a combination of Persian, Turkish, and Egyptian rugs. Subsequently, I embarked on creating a website using the Shopify platform. In the new website, I successfully listed over 3500+ products. Once all the rugs were uploaded to the new website, I proceeded to several other niche marketplaces, which were thoroughly researched to ensure that our products would do well. In addition, I attended industry trade shows, networked, and connected with several interior decorators and rug dealers to establish our presence. The networking and a new online presence contributed to the growth of the online business. In continuation of the new online business, we began sending email newsletters as another means of promoting the products. I also created several social media pages, including Facebook & Instagram. As the social media followers grew, I was able to monetize the posts. As new products arrived, I reviewed and determined if any repairs were necessary since vintage rugs commonly need repairs. I also composed copy for our website and online marketplaces.

The company had grown enough to the point where I was able to hire and train a small marketing team of 4 people. This team was specifically chosen to help the following stage of the company. At this point, the company was creating products and I was involved in every step of the way, from logo designs all the way up to the product launch. I continued to create, run, and manage all online advertising for all social media channels as well as Google Ads. During the two years at this position, my team & I were able to triple the email mailing list from 25,000 to over 75,000 through various email obtaining campaigns. At first, I created custom email newsletters via HTML. Once we had a great template, I would create others depending on the season etc. These templates were then used to send weekly email newsletters to our list of over 75,000 subscribers. I decided which products would be part of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly promotions. I was also part of the team that created over 100 product videos for our website & YouTube channel. These videos started in a brainstorming session, moved on to a story board and even executed to the finest detail. Each DBA brand that I controlled had a different look and theme and I made sure that each brand maintained their respective look & feel on all emails, newsletters, electronic external messaging, and creative executions. Ecommerce / Amazon ManagerCrorama, Inc - Dba: Motorcycle House, Viking Bags, Elite Sports Dec 2014 - Dec 2015With a modest $100 K in sales target in mind, I created an Amazon account from scratch. I first entered all products manually but eventually began listing products through Amazon's feed system. In total, I listed over 1000 products, and a quarter of them were sent to Amazon's FBA centers throughout the country. The first account, for the motorcycle related products, grew to over $700,000 in sales in the first year, and $1.5 Million in the second year. Half way through the first year we decided to create a second account for the mixed martial arts products under the brand Elite Sports. The immediate success of the first Amazon account made this decision a no-brainer. My daily tasks consisted of constantly updating & maintaining the Amazon listings' copy & images as well as those of our own websites, a total of 3 at the time - one for each brand. Each website was based on the Big Commerce platform and they included over 1000 products combined. As needed, I also photographed and did all of the copy writing for the listings. Whenever something needed to be updated, it was done on all 3 websites and the 2 Amazon accounts as well. All of this, while still maintaining the social media accounts active and relevant, until I was able to hire and train someone to do the social media tasks.

I quickly noticed that the company didn't have much of a social media presence and offered to create pages and run their social media accounts. I then started the YouTube, Instagram, & Pinterest Pages for company. I grew the social media presence of the company by maintaining the company's social media accounts active and relevant. My efforts were recognized and I was officially given the Social Media Manager promotion, after 1 month on the job. As I learned the depths of each social media channel, I strategized, executed, and managed various Facebook, YouTube, & Instagram ad campaigns from conception, to creative, to execution, and finally to analysis. This consistent strategy helped me grow the Facebook page for Motorcycle House from 13,000 to 76,000 likes in 24 months, amongst other things. As I moved onto a higher position within the company, I continued to measure and optimize all ad campaigns' performance while establishing benchmarks and meeting benchmarks. My promotion initially meant that I still continued to do my previous job while taking on the tasks related to my new position, until I hired & trained someone to take over this position.
