I just recently came off of 3 Kaiser MOB clinics in Santa Cruz where I was QA/QC manager. Prior to that I was part of a team in our Healthcare sector that completed a med clinic for UC Davis in Sacramento. I've worked on many projects at the Apple headquarters in Cupertino. City inspections , OSHPD 1, 3 inspections, Special inspections, SFM inspections. Safety meetings, manpower, RFI, Submittals, as well as daily field issues, are all part of a day's work. Career Superintendent Certification from CITF (Carpenters International Trust fund. I also hold the OSHA 30, STSC (Safety Trained Supervisor of Construction) certification and I am a member of the BCSP (Board of Certified Safety Professionals)

And everything in between. A typical day would include scheduling and directing manpower, going through plans, scheduling inspections. Dealing directly with owners/reps. Coordinating with Subs. Handling timecards and change orders just to mention a few. Cornerstone only had about 50 employees. They specialized in apartment rehabs and water damage repairs as well as small ground ups. There is something to be said about smaller companies. You don't have the resources you might have with the large companies such as Project Engineers, Project Managers, MEP Coordinators. So you are forced to learn those aspects. Even though it is on a much smaller scale, it was a great learning experience.
