Design for manufacturing project which lasted for more than three years during which products of several assembled parts (plastic and metal sheet, including electronic boards and devices )where designed, manufactured and assembled. Most of the design work was conducted on Solidworks 3D CAD software.Some of the products were also registered as intellectual property industrial design.

This project required understanding of the new machine design and function and then, drawing in 3D of the machine for the purpose of patent application with emphasis on machine individual process steps , thus the drawings are made for patent application purpose and later a dedicated patent application text is drafted to describe the machine various functions and innovative features.

A project that span for almost a year due to the complexity of the machine and the large numbers of parts, also considering the details and precision of the 3D modelling from an engineering perspective.The machine is patented under Patent WO2005065863The task was to measure ,sketch and assemble on SolidWorks a production line machine prototype.

Learned the process of roll forming mold design that was useful for later projects.The main task was to prepare 2D CAD files for roll forming molds and followup manufacturing of the molds. A final additional task was to model in 3D using Solidworks an extrusion tuning device for aluminium profile twist correction.The modelling also included manufacturing drawings for the tuning device parts.

As the first training in Industry, there was a lot to learn.Tasks were to measure, sketch and model a production machine for aluminium kitchen foil rolls.
