Felt the need to develop basic and simple methods to design and manage DC layouts. Our first edition of the software was called Layout Master. A tool to draw racking layouts quickly. First significant client was Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista in Orlando. Over the next many years, we added various modules for slotting, simulation, profiling and used it as part of our consulting. Red Owl Stores, was purchased by Supervalu Stores, in the 80's. Red Owl had 4 warehouses, in Hopkins MN, Albert Lea MN, Green Bay WI and Fargo ND. Distributed grocery to 95 Corporate and around 250 Franchise stores in the Upper Midwest. Installed racking systems. Manually did slotting and reslotting. Better routing systems.
