Having over 28 years of experience as the Chief Controller of Bangalore Division at South Western Indian Railways, I have extensive experience in Freight operations, planning, optimisation, logistics, staff management, mentoring and fleet management.I excelled at my work which involved coordination with 16 zones having 68 divisions covering over 63000 Kms.Interestingly I also managed assets worth Rs. 2000 crores (20 billion) and managed micro and macro planning of those assets.I managed loading, unloading and releases of stock as and when loading and unloading would take place.I have had an interesting career and managed things at such a huge scale that we were able to give our experiences as advices to international fleet companies. Moving forward I am looking to share my expertise in this area and help the locomotive industry solve such complex problems and optimise their operations. In my spare time you would find me listening to Indian Classical Music involving both Carnatic and Hindustani music.I am also deeply interested in reading books, especially on topics revolving around Indian philosophy!
