Life leadership is finding true fulfillment through purpose, wisdom, and service. A life well-led combines courage, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility toward others.This journey began on a shop floor in 1982 where I worked as a foreman at an MNC. I faced the turmoil either to accept a policy that compromised worker safety or to stand up for those working in precarious conditions. I chose the latter, buying safety shoes for my team and challenging the management’s stance. This choice, though it ended my role there, ignited a spark. It revealed a deep drive within me—not only to lead but to uphold principles that matter.For months, I searched for what would come next, spending time in quiet reflection. Then, my first entrepreneurial opportunity arrived. Starting with a small electrical testing job, my career as an entrepreneur began, eventually growing into a full-scale business with projects for banks and major corporations. This period allowed me to bring creativity, technical expertise, and leadership to life in large-scale turnkey interiors across India. From 1986 to 2010, this journey fulfilled the goals I had set, but it also showed me that material success alone could not bring lasting peace.Once I reached those goals, something deeper called out—a purpose that wasn’t about personal gain. Realizing that fulfillment goes beyond achievement, I decided to devote myself to service. This decision led me to the Ramakrishna Mutt and Theosophical Society, where I’ve spent the past decade and a half focusing on the well-being of others.Life leadership, to me, is a journey of personal, professional and spiritual growth. Through my experiences in social service and an exploration of philosophy and spirituality, I found that leadership is about guiding oneself and others with humility and compassion. Writing has helped clarify these ideas, and sharing them in publications like Infinithoughts and The Theosophist has been a way to connect with others on this path. The practice of Ashtanga yoga has deepened my focus and discipline, helping me lead a life rooted in purpose and service.The power to lead an impactful life lies in the balance of humor, wisdom, and spirituality. These elements are at the heart of my books, Not Just a Joke Book and Wit, Wisdom & Everything In Between.
