• Worked in the product development of Amazon Softlines team. Worked on developing customized features specific to softlines technology business for Amazon stores all over the world. • Major challenges include designing and developing category-specific features end-to-end while also optimizing for low latency and high throughput. Involved in the analysis of metrics related to new feature-launches and figuring out ways to improve them by directly changing the design and visualization aspects.• Contributed directly to increase in sales through optimizations and new implementations of features.• Helped the team to reduce the high severity tickets queue count while I was on-call. Also wrote a couple of utility tools which made some frequent on-call jobs completely self-service. Got written appreciation for my on-call work for helping the team meet its goals in reduction of ticket count and making the solutions for some frequent issues completely self-service.Projects• Took lead in starting migration from a legacy perl-mason based framework to a java-based framework. Challenges involved in working with teams cross-continent, while also making sure everything is on track with the deadlines. This migration resulted in significant latency reduction, while also making the code-base easily amenable to changes. Also took lead in helping out team-members get ramped-up quickly to the new framework, while also communicating the best practices and code-reviewing diligently so the team as a whole delivers quality results.• Was the dev-lead from IDC on Amazon’s migration to a standardized js/css migration stack. Managed a team of 4 developers and also helped other teams in India to help support this migration. Challenges involved working with cross-country teams all over the world, finding and resolving issues quickly and support and fine-tune the UI stack itself by guiding and refining requirements, all the same time ensuring that deadlines and milestones are met.

Oracle RightNow Cloud Services development team (February 2012 – August 2012)• Worked on handling the collaboration suite of the RightNow CRM Service in a multi-tenant environment. Work involves designing the entire collaboration stack against a cloud environment, handling the authentication and authorization mechanisms and integrating the suite with Oracle Social Network platform on a cloud.• Challenges involved in the design include interfacing with Oracle Social Networking platform, handling the identity and security mechanisms and at the same time designing the system so that it works in a multi-tenant environment. The challenge also includes abstraction of the business logic from the interfacing mechanisms to facilitate reusability and easy adaptability to changes in the future. Responsible for the entire design of the CRM agent chat and collaboration architecture.• Technologies used include PHP with Yahoo UI along with Java/JMS technologies in the backend.Fusion CRM development team (September 2011 – February 2012)• Worked on the collaboration/activities suite of Fusion CRM product development team. Work involved designing the mid-tier architecture for agent collaboration, which involved a invitation-based mechanism for chat. Handled the design and development of the entire mid-tier code for the invitation/presence mechanisms for the collaboration suite. Business Intelligence automation team (July 2009 – September 2011)• Worked in the development of automated suite for the security features of BIEE. The work involved setting up SOAP calls to the presentation services of BIEE and getting and manipulating the different security settings available.
