Transiting from a research environment, the technical-commercial aspect of crop production, particularly input supplies, was at the heart of my responsibilities. It involved helping RFD transiting from a single pillar, sugarcane herbicide, to a multiple pillar company. The insecticide, fungicide, fertilizer, seeds and services segments of the company were improved and further developed to become strong pillars.Multinationals like Bayer, BASF, Belchim, Arysta, UPL, FMC, DuPont + Dow later Corteva, Monsanto, Indofil together with innovative companies like Fertinagro, Starke Ayres, Brookside Laboratories were very supportive in that change. The first product I developed was Coragen as from February 2010 which later became the number 1 selling product of the company.Together with the above, I had to plan production of the repacking unit, maintain the Health and Safety aspects of all operations, follow up on orders and deliveries and deal with HR issues.
