Stocks and Indices: Those Stocks and Indexes which are traded in the Main Board, KLSE, ASX etc., are listed here. The list is updated as and when there is a change in the Main Frame side and from the Trading Systems (Core Business System). The above stock update live system utilizes this stocks and indices as part of the selection. Factiva News (Feed): This is a system supplied by Dow Jones. The news feed is continuously updated to the SGX News Feed Systems. There are several agents which running to get the XML feeds and Parse the XML feeds and categorize and send it to several News system within SGX. Change Request System: This is the system utilized by SGX for Change Control Management for Application Enhancement or Developing New Applications. Non Users of Technology Department are routed to their Departments Head for approval and Budgeting. Once Approved it will be informed to the Analyst who will analyze and estimate the effort. Once done, it will be routed to the Technology Project Leader for approval. After the PL and Department Head approval, the project is completed and sent to UAT which is linked to UAT system. Also has link to the IT Change Implementation System once the UAT is completed it will be rolled to Production.

The application submitted will be processed by various departments and the status will be closed and the mail pouch will be sent to the respective user. Money Market Account, Municipal Bonds and Corporate Accounts and Wire Transfer come under Securities Department. Wire Transfer is a Work Flow based Funds Transfer Application for the Securities Department. The Process includes an Approval Cycle within the Department before transferring amount to other Banks and Clients' accounts through major Banks such as Bank of New York, Citibank, and Chase Manhattan. Funds can be sent through Wire or Check or ACH. Lotus Script, Formula Language and other design elements such as Forms, Views and Agents were used from Lotus Notes/Domino R5 Designer for Front End. LSX and LS:DO are used for integrating with Sybase 11. Windows NT Server is the Operating System. LAS: LAS (Leave Application System) allows the LTA staff's' to apply their Vacation Leave, Make Up Leave and Deferred Leave. Those Leave types that need prior approval are tracked here. Other Leave types such as sick leave, emergency leave are entered from other application in the Back End Oracle database. Notes Pump Activities pull and push the data from/to Lotus Notes and Oracle for reconciliation of each staff Leave Balance. ERB: Electronic Resource Booking for those resources such as Conference Room, Laptops etc., to book from a centralized application. TRM: Training Road Map is an Application for tracking the Application from the employees for a Training Course till the approval by their Department Head. All the application was developed in the Lotus Notes 4.6 and R5 designer environment running under Sun Solaris Enterprise 4000 Server running on Unix Operating System. The Back End database was Oracle. Percussion Notrix and Lotus Notes Pump were used to pull/push data into Oracle. The Front End was Lotus Notes using Lotus Script and Formula Language.
