Cyber Transport personnel deploy, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair standard voice, data, and video network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems and cryptographic equipment. They perform, coordinate, integrate, and supervise network design, configuration, operation, defense, restoration, and improvements. Cyber Transport personnel also analyze capabilities and performance, identify problems, and take corrective action. They fabricate, terminate, and interconnect wiring and associated network infrastructure devices. In short, they are computer network hardware and communication equipment specialists.

>Install and properly connect ("terminate" and "fusion splice") coaxial, CAT-5, CAT-6, electrical wire, and Fiber-Optic Cable>Build and install server racks/cabinets>Install a variety of security cameras>Assemble and install "RIC" (Remote Interface Control) boxes>Integrate hardware with wired/wireless and network solutions such as switches, Fiber-Optic Cable splicetrays, Mini-Card Chassis, and signal repeaters>Install powered components that vary in voltage output from main power sources through two-sidedtransformers>Configure and install various types of hardened steel and flexible conduit>Install tamper switches>Assist in installing various components and connections in the highly secured main server room>Install the lighting protection system consisting of air terminals (lightning rods), conductors (grounding cables), and grounding rods>Various logistical tasks associated with material organization, receipt, and inventory documentation>Proper labeling of wires, electrical components, and housing material>Install biometric iris-scanners>Install card readers>Install loud-speakers for base-wide alert systems and alarms
