Sales Manager Western Region

Managing key accounts, Distributors and Representatives within my assigned territory, among other responsibilities.

• Managing key accounts, Distributors and Representatives as assigned by management.• Providing first level technical support for product applications as required.• Facilitating the custom quotation process for opportunities within assigned territory, including technical review for completeness and feasibility of incoming requests.• Generating formal price quotations.• Assisting in the application of volume-based discounting on standard (catalog) products, following established discount schedules and/or margin guidelines. Assisting in developing, updating, and improving margin guidelines and discount schedules.• Working closely with Edmund Optics global manufacturing sites to stay current with manufacturing and test capabilities.• Initiating outbound calls to customers and prospects to: o Follow-up on open quotations, sales orders, or delivery schedules o Close sales and capture orders to grow market share o Identify contacts and proactively foster, grow, and maintain close relationships with key decision makers in purchasing and engineering roles, inside customer and prospective customer accounts o Collaboratively working to forecast future customer requirements on an item level• Identifying high potential customer prospects within assigned territory.• Providing reports and records notes in ERP and CRM systems. Utilizing ERP and CRM tools to analyze trends and develop strategies toward growth and sales success.

• Help customers find the best solution for their projects/applications using Edmund Optics' products.• Educating customers on how to use the products.• Providing customers with information that may help them design the best system, such as Transmission Curves, MTF Plots, etc.• Market Research and Competitive Analysis of new entry markets.• Data organization and compilation of it as a SWOT Analysis. • Proficient in the use of Power Pivot Tables (MS Excel). • Professional Sales Training. • Surveying current and potential customers to improve marketing strategies.• Good understanding of business and management styles.
