Customer Service Engagement: Engaging with customers by selling tickets, answering questions, and helping with any issues. Such as helping customers find their seats and escorting them to their respected auditoriums. As well as ensuring that they have a pleasant movie going experience! 2.) Multitasking : I had the opportunity to not only usher which is a role in which we provide a sanitary, safe, and enjoyable environment. But I also had the chance to learn concessions in which I handled food and beverage sales which required multitasking, quick service, and cash handling experience, as well as up selling on promotional items such as cups, popcorn tins, and snacks all within in a fast-paced environment.3.) Communication: In my current role it encompasses interpersonal communication. Not only do I have to communicate with fellow staff but also communicate with customers. Such as upselling our rewards program and encouraging customers to use their loyalty points when purchasing products. In this I have also gained knowledge in reading body language so that customers are comfortable that we are here to help and serve them if needed. I have also used my oral and bilingual skills to translate, and communicate with customers in my second language which is that of Spanish. 4.) Team Leadership: I also had the opportunity to work with management and fellow staff. By collaborating with coworkers to ensure smooth operations during busy showtimes or special events fosters cooperation and time management skills.5.) Organization Skills: In keeping the theater clean, such as tidying up after showings, I had the ability to enhance attention to detail and improve my organizational habits.
