I work with contractors Highway project Engineers, Supervisors, and fellow Technician on highway projects in the construction management field. On project CN: 1233 on Interstate I-40 I preformed unsupervised tests on soils in order to achieve a uniformly compacted surface area due to the high clay content and maintain the required r-value as per specifications detailed in the contract using quick lime. On project CN: BR-309 the bridge on Roy Road over the Rio Grand Cannel, I tested concrete for slump, air content and constancy in order to assure compliance with State and Federal standards and specifications.At this level in my career I can operate computers to maintain detailed, accurate records of all field activities, test data and all information pertaining to a specific project. I have developed and improved computerized spreadsheets for the Department of Transportation and I assured all structural products incorporated into the project were in compliance with specified guidelines. I would train and supervise subordinate field personal in the proper procedures, methods and techniques for correct construction practices. I would interpret plans shop drawings, contracts and standards to ensure a quality product for the State of New Mexico in cooperation with the contractor. .
