The TF Green Airport Military Lounge opening September 6, 2013The lounge in our airport will be the host to over 10,000 Armed Forcesmembers annually and their families. This facility will have a staff of acoordinator and team of volunteers to accommodate our customers and servecoffee, refreshments, entertainment, and short term quarters for delayedtroops.. Rhode Island Military and Veteran Students Organization (working withSVO)Purpose: To provide military and veteran students with the resources,support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education and followinggraduation.. Support local military and veteran Non-Profit organizations andprograms.The professional network built by RIMO will collaborate with and assistthe many suffering programs currently supporting RI military members andtheir families.. The Rhode Island Youth Development Academy (RIYDA) (long termproject - not started yet)RIYDA is a quasi military structured, 22 week residential academicprogram, for at risk high school students ages 16-18. The students will beselected by a board comprised of RI educators, administrators and judicialrepresentatives as underprivileged high school dropouts, or potentialdropouts.These same cadets will graduate the academy with the education, values,skills, and discipline to succeed.
