I believe the only surety we have is this present moment; everything beyond this moment is out of our control; however, if we make each moment count - living consciously, acting sensitively we may have a chance at guaranteeing our futures. I am passionate about prioritizing women’s engagement in socio-economic fields as well as their role towards environmental sustainability. Development that leaves one half of the able working force behind is not only unsustainable but is also detrimental to the global economy. I currently work with middle –low income women in engaging and empowering them to be resilient small business owners by mobilizing and empowering them through participation and innovation to play an active role in the economy while being active contributors to their family income, giving them agency and a voice within their communities.Although my educational background was initially in biological sciences it took me three years of working with people to identify that it is through people that we can bring about meaningful change that lasts. However, my experience in scientific research did give me the opportunity to understand the importance of data in bringing impactful change. My decision to successfully complete my Masters in Sustainable Management was influenced by my passion to see sustainable growth in communities led by women, through which I have gained valuable insights in supply chain management, logistics, corporate governance, and most importantly environmentally sustainable business practices. I am currently seeking a fitting job opportunity that aligns with my professional interests as well as one that would give me the opportunity to apply my experience and skills to the best of my abilities, in order to serve communities specifically focusing on economic empowerment of women and marginalized communities. I am passionate about the environment as well as sustainable development of communities; therefore, is my passion to work at the intersection of the two, which I believe is pivotal to development on the long run .The pandemic restricted many of us in numerous ways and changed our lives but it is during the last two years that I was able to realize my true strengths through which I have made the biggest decisions of my life that has given me invaluable experiences. I believe everything we experience is interconnected and every one of our actions or inactions, decisions or indecisions have a role to play in how we shape our lives, families, communities, eco-systems and even the world at large.
