I lead a Unit working on an extensive portfolio of Strategic projects supporting FSA Field Operations while developing and implementing necessary change at pace. Main functions:- EU Exit Workforce Planning.- Change Activity (Delivering identified change projects, ie. Poultry Green offal; Visual Inspection Pigs; 5th Quarter; FCI/CCIR; Timesheet consistency).- Operational efficiencies and Capacity Reviews.- Consistency activity – ensuring consistency in the field with existing policies and procedures.- Official Control Outcomes – monitoring implemented solutions to measure success.- FSA Communications – handling FoIs, communications & queries received by/or directed to Field Operations.- Field Support - Queries arising from the field business and technical, FBO/industry stakeholder challenges & data queries.

Programme Lead FCI/CCIR National Change (England & Wales). Working closely with the meat industry, the farming community and other interested parties such as government departments to improve meat controls by developing a more efficient and effective approach to Food Chain Information (FCI) and Collection and Communications of Inspection Results (CCIR). FSA staff are present in all approved slaughterhouses and the work they do to accurately record and report conditions at these premises is of great value to both meat processors and producers.The work is important to support a resilient UK food system that is able to cope with the increasing demand for food from a growing population. Supervision of technical performance of Official Veterinarians. Audit all OVs against the former Meat Hygiene Service (MHS) operations manual and Eville & Jones manual and standards. Constant liaison with MHS at all levels to ensure we worked aligned with MHS aims and values and to ensure team work prevailed. Highly focused on further training activities.

Protect Public Health and animal health and welfare by providing verification, audit and meat inspection in fresh meat premises.Broad experience in all types of slaughtering premises. Including Wild Game Handling establishments.Promoted to Internal Auditor for Eville & Jones before reaching one year within the company.
