I worked on SPE (Stability Performance Engineering) team to attend the Clarivate Analytics company, based in Sunnyvale, CA, USA. Duties: - Ensure microservices (Spring Boot and Karyon) stability on AWS;- Create tools to verify by observability and metrics over microservices;- Test and suggest improvements to maintain the service stability and performance;- Support for developers and operation team.Projects: Neon Social Network (https://projectne.thomsonreuters.com).Cassandra: Java development, a tool to do backups (snapshots full and incremental) and restores for Cassandra clusters, we used AWS S3 as storage for backups, Jenkins to orchestrate the restore Quartz for the scheduler.Stress Test Platform: Scala development for a platform to allow developers to run Stress tests using Jenkins using Gatling tools. This platform sends metrics to SignalFX and generates a report with EC2 and Java metrics (RAM, DiskIO, Process, Java Heap, Threads…).Chaos Monkey Platform: Provisioning a machine with Chaos Monkey to turn off one machine from a cluster while the cluster is receiving tests requests.Hystrix SingalFX Metrics Publisher: Create an API to send the Hystrix command metrics to SignalFX. With this observability solution, we started to see the services at a deep level the latency percentiles, the fallbacks, success, and errors of our microservices with history.Auto Scaling Group Health Checker: Refactoring and creating new features for the solution that checks the microservice instance health, and if necessary calls AWS API to recycle this instance.Service Linter: Create and improve the code quality checkers over Java projects. The checkers are important to avoid problems, like service using an old lib version.

I worked there on two main teams, the Integration and Big Data. Until 04/2015 I was there as Developer. Duties: - Create and maintain features for integration platform, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).- Refactoring the Supply Chain BI platform from Microsoft to Hadoop with Spark.- Support and advisor for integration and big data projects.Projects:Proxy Platform: A software that we developed to receive documents by web service from a customer and route the document to a product or other customer. This software allows the customer services team create all integration using the UI.Connector Module: We developed this software to plug it into our products and start receiving documents from Proxy Platform.Email Processor: It was a project to replace the old solution and allows the NeoGrid to receive with some security documents like orders and invoices.Transformations Platform: We created a platform to help the developers with the task to translate documents from customer format to the NeoGrid format.Queue tool migration: We started this project to change the queue solution for one with better performance and scalable (RabbitMQ).Hadoop Platform: Create a Hadoop platform to perform analysis on supply chain.
