I am the Systems Administrator at Long Island Consultation Center. I manage and analyze our Electronic Health Record (CareLogic) and create innovative ways to increase staff productivity and client satisfaction. We live in an uncertain and unprecedented time where people are more disconnected despite technological advances. My goal for our clinic was to adapt to the new normal, taking advantage of what technology has to offer, without sacrificing the quality of care that we provide our clients. I successfully completed this goal by spearheading the clinic's adaptation of Google Workspace, which included clinic-wide set up and individual staff training sessions. Setting up and managing Google Workspace facilitated confidential communication between our staff and their clients. The pandemic showed us the importance and benefits of telehealth practice. With this, I facilitated the clinic's move to Zoom Healthcare, a HIPAA-compliant audio-video platform. The combination of these improvements boosted our client attendance.

Shadow Deputy Commissioner Saunders and attain familiarity with her duties and responsibilities. Attend Board of Corrections monthly public hearing. Discuss and review current regulation and programming issues. Assist the program coordinator in facilitating the young adult programs housed in the Transitional Restorative Units (TRU).

Assisted the assigned staff attorney during weekend arraignments. Reviewed various documentation such as charging document and NYSID. Completed Legal Aid client file with necessary client and case information.

Conducted and assisted with jury selection on three cases set for trial. Drafted a bench memo concerning a summary judgment motion on a company negligence case. Observed various court proceedings, such as arraignments, sentencing, naturalization, and trials.

Drafted various motions, such as Facial Sufficiency and 30.30 motions. Performed legal research on various criminal complaints. Assisted with verifying accuracy of transcribed video statements. Arraigned clients, with assistance of supervisor, during Arraignments. Observed client interviews and various court proceedings, such as appearances, hearings, and trials.

Drafted Amicus Brief to the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, First Department concerning reasonable accommodations under Title II of the American Disabilities Act. Reviewed and drafted several Court Evaluator Reports, observed client interviews, performed legal research on ADA issues and drafted memoranda on the results of the research.

Conducted weekly preliminary screening of referred domestic violence offenders. Conducted intake evaluation of referred clients. Co-facilitated weekly Batterer’s Intervention groups. Wrote weekly group progress notes.

Screened potential 17-A Guardianship applicants. Conducted intake interviews, drafted Guardianship forms, Citations, Affidavits of Due Diligence, Affidavits of Service of Process, and Attorney Affirmations and attended guardianship court hearings.

Screened and assessed clients for Mental Health and Chemical Dependency programs. Served as primary liaison for clients, therapists and referral sources. Conducted daily telephone crisis intervention for potential clients as well as current clinic clients. Managed caseload assignments of over 85 therapists in both programs.
