I am the Director of Data Science and Analytics at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the largest private funder of academic biomedical research in the United States. I have over 15 years of experience working across operations, data science and analytics, finance, business solutions, and inclusive programs. My work is informed by the underlying value that data, ultimately, is about people.There are two defining questions of my career. First, how can data, policy, and culture serve as a catalyst and roadmap for positive change in education and society? Second, to what extent are we reproducing the very conditions we are working to transform? Prior to joining the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, I taught and was an Assistant Dean at Duke University. I completed a predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. I earned a PhD and MS from Indiana University, and a BA in History from the Honors Program at the University of Michigan. In 2025, I will pursue an MBA at Boston University.
