Mr. John Carlo M. Ramos is a licensed professional teacher and an Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Philippine Normal University, teaching Values Education, General Education, and Professional Education courses. He has earned his Master of Arts in Education with specialization in Values Education and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Values Education at PNU, and a Graduate Certificate in ASEAN Studies at the University of the Philippines Open University. In addition, he has worked as a Values Education/Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP) teacher at the junior high school level. He is also an alumnus of the Japan East-Asia Network for Students and Youths (JENESYS).He is a trainer, lecturer, and facilitator in Values Education approaches and strategies, values integration across disciplines, values formation for youth, and licensure examination review. He also serves the Department of Education (DepEd) as a learning resource and content evaluator. Currently, he is the Executive Director of the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN), a network of premier teacher education institutions (TEIs) in the ASEAN region. He is also currently engaged as a Core Skill Mentor of youths under the Flexible Training for Work Program, an employability skills development project of the Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) and USAID.
