Second-year Biology student at the University of Houston on the pre-med track. My desire to effectively serve others combined with my desire for a better understanding of ourselves has led me to pursue a career in healthcare, where I hope to combine my creative tendencies with my love for problem-solving in order to create positive change in my community. My goal-oriented and tenacious nature has led me to begin classes a term early in order to take charge of my education- taking the lessons and skills I've learned in high school and applying them as I transition into the 'real' world. Alongside my academics, I enjoy immersing myself in the arts and philosophy in order to explore the intersection between the humanities and the hard sciences. I'm passionate about finding connections between seemingly unrelated topics.As a recent high school graduate who is eager to face the future ahead, I'm hitting the ground running and making the most of the time and opportunities I have so that I may give back to the world that has given so much to me.
