About Ram Sebak Adhikari, Ph.D, P.Eng.

• Mr. Adhikari worked as a civil engineer and enriched with engineering skills acquired from 7 years of working experience in construction engineering. He started his career as a site engineer for the construction of Jomsom Mountain Resort (JMR) at Jomsom. He landed at the site 3 months before the arrival of actual working drawings for the establishment of site office, approach roads (1.3 km), pumping stations (100 m lift), and discovering mining quarries for local materials as well as developing social relationships with people. After promoted as a site in-charge, Adhikari was responsible for site supervision, preparation of cost estimates, preparing schedules, technical communications, and project monitoring. • After completion of the JMR project in 2003, Adhikari worked as a project manager at Kathmandu head office. His responsibilities under this job were effective planning, design, construction, and reporting of consolidated information for the following projects: SOI commercial complex, Chundevi Mandir project, Residence Building Construction at Maharajgung, Construction of motor cycle assembly Plant at Birdaghat. • Mr. Adhikari is a passionate researcher and possess animated teaching skills developed while working as research and teaching assistant at Concordia University Montreal, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale USA, University of Hannover Germany.• Mr. Adhikari had been awarded with DAAD Scholarship for the academic study and training for M.Sc. in geotechnical engineering, Germany (2005). Also, he was awarded with a special Scholarship for New High-Calibers PhD Students from Concordia University, Montreal (2010) for Ph.D. in Civil Engineering.
