The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency dedicated to providing safety and security for the UMBC community. The department is staffed by sworn police officers, backed by a support staff, who are trained to respond to a variety of emergencies, including crimes and medical emergencies. The department also provides a variety of crime prevention programs and services, such as safety escorts, security cameras, and emergency blue light phones.

Hagerstown Community College Campus Police are sworn law enforcement officers that have authority granted under the Maryland Code, Education Article 16-707.1. HCC Campus police officers may exercise their police duties on property that is owned, leased, operated by, or under the control of the Hagerstown Community College. HCC Campus Police officers are armed and have full sworn law enforcement powers.
