Mr. Ramsés Sánchez, a BSCE from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, Santo Domingo, 1982, numerous post graduated courses in structural engineering and 35+ years of experience in hands on structural design is DESCON’s principal. He's a member of Dominican College of Engineers and Architects (CODIA) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Sánchez lived and worked as structural engineer in Miami, FL, being project engineer for Riva, Klein & Partners - consulting engineers-, and for Prestressed Systems Industries (PSI), a prestressed concrete joist manufacturer. While at Riva, Klein & Partners, Mr. Sánchez had the opportunity to be directly involved in the design and field supervision of Sawgrass Mills Mall at Plantation, Broward Co., FL, and several multi story condominiums and commercial designs. With PSI, highlights would be the Dadeland Mall parking garage and the Veteran Administration Regional Hospital at West Palm Beach. Since his return to Santo Domingo, Mr. Sánchez has been developing his career as structural engineer, supervisor and general contractor offering his services as a private consultant, until 1998 when decided to start up DESCON, srl. -Engineering -.
