Currently, I am developing a radio show for KDHX 88.1. My appearances on Fox 2 News have allowed me to showcase various creative platforms, including dance, music, and poetry. I also run The Maven Lee Show, my own news platform where I write blogs. Additionally, I enjoy being a political, tennis, and professional wrestling commentator and guest podcaster.Nonprofit WorkFor over a decade, I have supported marginalized communities, including those experiencing housing insecurity, mental health challenges, and food insecurity. My work has taken me to Philadelphia, Kansas City, Atlanta, Detroit, New York City, and New Orleans, earning features in local and national publications.Arts and MusicMy passion for music began with the YMCA Boys Choir of St. Louis, where I became an assistant director. I have performed as a solo vocalist at prestigious venues and opened for national recording artists. As a poet and spoken word artist for over 15 years, I have toured the country, recorded projects, and created showcases. I founded Enigma, an all-Black multi-dance group, and co-founded Alchemy Arts Network STL with hip-hop dancer Tyrus Watson.Community OrganizerI have organized stages and opportunities for emerging artists and have become an icon in Missouri’s ball community, an underground dance scene created by LGBTQ Black and Latino people. I have produced major events and created a series featured across multiple media platforms.Film ProductionAs a short film producer, my work has been recognized and selected for prestigious festivals, including the DC Independent Film Festival and the St. Louis International Film Festival’s QFest.Festival ProducerI have assisted in producing various festivals, including Tower Grove Pride, Rosé Day, Made with Pride at The Foundry, Juneteenth, Black Pride, and ALTBall Fashion Show.Achievements • Proclamation from the mayor of St. Louis declaring Maven Lee Day. • Currently featured in three art exhibits, including one at the Missouri History Museum.
