Worked in cooperation with Dr. Eric Mazzi, the renowned professor and energy efficiency expert, modeling energy consumption for a health care facility in the North Carolina region to analyze the effects of the applied energy efficiency measures and verify their effectiveness in reducing energy consumption.• Modeled electrical and natural gas data for the whole facility at daily and monthly time intervals.• Developed regression models as a function of outdoor air temperature (OAT) in the form of Heating or Cooling Degree Days.• Successfully ran multivariate models using OAT and facility revenue.• Calculated a set of model validation parameters, including skewness, kurtosis, and autocorrelation in addition to common parameters.

A collaboration project between UBC Properties Trust represented by E3 Eco, and the UBC SEEDs program, aiming to measure the effects of applying heat energy sub-metering in multi-unit residential buildings at UBC. The study quantified the expected reduction in heat energy consumption and GHG emissions upon application.• Researched heat energy submetering applications around the world, providing evidence of positive outcomes and expected ranges of energy savings.• Analyzed and modeled heating energy consumption for residential buildings in Main-land Vancouver.• Established a heat energy benchmark model for sub-metered buildings.• Quantified expected energy and GHG emissions savings from applying heat energy sub-metering.• Built a business case for heat energy sub-metering for MURBs at UBC.• Produced a public facing-report with potential energy savings and GHG emissions available at UBC SEEDs library.
