Ramya Bhat has been trained in Bharatanatyam for the past 23 years under Guru Anuradha Vikranth. She holds Masters in Fine Arts in Bharatanatyam from SASTRA University under the guidance of Padma Bhushan Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam. she also holds a Masters Degree in Human Development from Smt VHD Central Institute of Home Science. Ramya has successfully conducted 2 research studies i.e “Comparative study of General wellbeing, interests and involvement in different activities among dancers and non dancers”. and “The Comparative study of movements of Beesu Kamsale and elements of Natyasastra”. She works at the Department of Performing Arts at Sri Satya Sai University in Karnataka. Ramya is the Founder and Director of Sattvada, a dance institution in Hennur, Bengaluru. Ramya wishes to continue to learn, share, and contribute to the promotion of Indian classical dance.
