Jag jobbar som hemvårdare i Källhaga, en demnsboende i Hörby. Mina arbetsuppgifter består till största delen av att hjälpa vårdtagaren med dennes vardagliga bestyr, som att sköta hygien, byta kläder, eller att äta, hjälp med sårvård och att ta medicin. I arbetsuppgifterna ingår även dokumentation av utförda åtgärder och hälsotillstånd i samråd med ansvariga sjuksköterskor och läkare. För dokumentation använder jag Procapita på jobbet. Jag tror att man behöver vara bra på att lyssna in folk och ha en dubbel portion tålamod för att passa som hemvårdare, och givetvis vara väldigt intresserad av människor och hälsa.

For over 5 months i worked as a research assistant for the Department of Biology, Lund University. My work involved digitizing videos of hundreds of bumble bee flights in MatLab based Graphical User Interface and analyzing their flight trajectories in 2D.

I worked as an assistant lecturer in a tribal development institute training midwifery student in theoretical and practical nursing. The institute was new and was exclusively for people of the tribal community living in the hill region, encourage them towards hospital child birth and introducing primary health care to their life. Working here introduced me to their community life, culture and practices which in hand helped me teach the students midwifery including the culture of the area. Teaching was a passion and I had the opportunity to introduce new ways of teaching like showing videos and demonstration of nursing procedures which were new to the students.

I worked as a trainee nurse in a cardiac speciality hospital. I worked in post operative(angioplasty and angiogram) general ward. the experience gave me immense knowledge of operative procedures and post operative care along with medications, dressing of postoperative wounds and response for acute situations. My job as a nurse also made me more stronger, patient, responsible and confident person. After this short stint, I moved on to teach as an assistant lecturer.
